Are there any options for a smart wheel?
The only option they have is whether or not to hook up the 2 extra wires to the dash lights to backlight the switches on the wheel. The light flashing buttons, wiper controls, horn, and cruise control are all independant of each other and the lights are not supposed to stay on until the key is reset or anything like that.
Why does my Smart wheel not turn on?
It seems to work intermittently. The fact that there is no on/off light drives me crazy. When the cruise control doesn’t set when I press the set button, I can’t tell if it’s because the cruise is off or just not working. Also, the low speed wipers only work intermittently.

Mine quit coming on automatically with engine start, so I just pulse wipers after start up. The engine rpm increase with trans in neutral is a convenient feature, just apparently not operated the same way in all coaches.
