How do you fix a RWD slide?
Turn your front wheels in the same direction that the rear of the vehicle is sliding. You’ve also heard about “turning into the slide”. These both mean the same thing. For example, if the back of your car slides to the right, turn the wheel to the right.
Why does it feel like my car is sliding?
Low tread can reduce tire traction and cause your wheels to slip, especially in wet conditions or when accelerating from a stop. Particularly worn treads can even lead to tire slippage in dry conditions! Low tread levels can sometimes be easy to spot when looking at the tire. Put the penny head-first into the tread.
Is it OK to operate drivers side slide?
My owner`s manual states that you should NOT operate the slides until the motor home is level to avoid binding and other damage to the slides. Also, I found out the hard way that the drivers side slide has a motor control board that is riveted upside down in the motor compartment.
Why is my drivers side slide out on my Bounder 35R?
I just bought a 2004 Bounder 35R. When I got it the drivers side slide went out and wouldn’t go back in. The dealer said a “shear pin” was broken and the other one was coming loose. They replaced both and lubricated the slide.

If neither of these are possible they say the slides should be moved only with fully charged batteries. On the Disco, the driver side slide fits flush to the floor when extended. The three men are getting it over the ramp to retract. There is a replacement motor with higher torque available.
Why does my slide not retract after new motor?
After the new motor was installed, the slide still would not retract. The “square rods” connected to the motor were detached to assure the new motor was functioning. We found that power to the motor existed only when the “out” part of the slide’s in/out button was pushed. There was no power to the motor when the “in” side of the button was pushed.

Do you need two people to turn a car slide?
If there are two motors on the slide it will require two people and the wrenches need to be turne simultaneously (slide ends within 1 to 2 inches of each other) so do the wrench turns together. The lock switches can bump open just traveling down some of our super highways.
