Gary, those ignition systems are “fairly” reliable. Its basically a step up HV coil/transformer that receives pulses and the ignitor tip sparking to light the gas. I’ve encountered more ignitor tip failures (cracks, carbon traces, shorts, mis adjustments) or control board failures then the HV ignitor coil/transformer itself.
Why is my Dometic furnace not working properly?
I suspect this is being caused by air in the line & in my 14 Bounder I would just run the gas stove burners for few minutes & that seemed to clear the air out & the furnace would work fine.
