Yes, Mystic Falls is a real place, but not in Ao. It's actually in Yellowstone National Park. And it is a wonderful real waterfall with mystical trails. It was originally called Little Lee, but for unknown reasons it was renamed Mystic Falls in 1887.

In LJ Smith's book, his uncle is called Fells Church, not Mystic Waterfall. It is called the Sufi waterfall in the southwest. There is no Church of Falls, VA or mystic waterfall, VA. There is a church in Falls, VA. So take it as you wish)

Mystic Falls is a real place. But it's part of the uncle in Va. Its name is Oakton Va. It is in the northern part of Va.
