Why is my IntelliTec battery disconnect relay not working?
It could be the relay (solenoid) having a bad contactor from wiring the battery backwards. My RV is a 1999 Georgie Boy “Pursuit”. I was told it could be the BD Switch so I had a mechanic look at it before ordering a new switch. I am getting power to the BD switch, but it is NOT engaging and the red light isn’t coming on.
What are the IntelliTec Big Boy battery disconnects?
00-00507-524 (Ignition Protected). 00-00507-724 (Marine Application). Intellitec’s Big Boy line of battery disconnects come with a latching configuration. This incredibly rugged, reliable and cost effective disconnect design is the global standard for OEM`s to use as their main Battery Disconnect.
How many amps can an IntelliTec isolator relay handle?
Intellitec’s Isolator Relays are used to isolate two battery systems. This innovative and cost effective design allows the relay to operate with almost no voltage across contacts and can handle currents up to 200 Amps.
How does IntelliTec bi-directional isolation relay delay ( bird ) work?
Intellitec’s Bi-Directional Isolation Relay Delay (BIRD) GAS offers a new approach to charging batteries in an RV application. Unlike prior systems that only allowed charging the RV battery from the engine’s alternator, the Bi-Directional Isolation Relay Delay charges both batteries when either one is being charged.
