Why is the keyless entry on my Dodge Challenger not working?
Enter your ride HERE to be a part of this month’s Ride of the Month Challenge! The keyless entry functions on 2015 SXT Plus has quit working. I can lock/unlock the car with the buttons on the key fob but the buttons on the door handles don’t lock it and grabbing the door handles doesn’t unlock the car.
What kind of door lock does a swift Challenger use?
Gordon. I believe what you have is a Hartal Evoline door lock, and if so another member has reported a problem where the outer plastic chrome handle has broken. Replacements are available but they are expensive (around £150 for the complete lock) so if it is possible, a repair would be preferable.
How does the remote fob work on a Dodge Challenger?
The fob can be inductively powered (in event of dead fob battery) by holding it up against the push-start button [and you’ll get error message] for the ’15s. The remote fob functions depend on a functioning battery.
What happens when you remove battery from Dodge Challenger?
You can completely remove the CR2032 battery from your fob and it shouldn’t affect the operation of “Enter and go”, pushbutton start, etc. The only functionality that is lost when the battery dies (or is removed) are those specific functions driven by the buttons on the fob itself.

What to do if your car door is locked out?
We removed the spring-loaded latch and determined we could use the deadbolt as a make-shift door lock, which would hold the door securely closed until we could get home. (It was not apparent whether the inside handle would have worked, but I wasn’t about to chance it.)
